We first met in 2015 while working for the same company. Theresa, while living in Milwaukee, initially worked on Chris's team which he managed from Baltimore, it was strictly business, we swear! After about 3 years Theresa was promoted to a training position which included travel and often landed us in the same places at the same time. Our working relationship turned friendship over shared experiences, and similar goals in life. Our friendship turned into love, where we both thought how lucky it is to be in love with our best friend. With Chris needing to stay in Baltimore, Theresa had more flexibility to move and so after about a year of traveling to see each other we rented a U-Haul and drove to Baltimore. Life settled in and it was clear our missing puzzle piece was found.
In 2020 as the world shut down, we welcomed Cooper into our lives and he was everything we needed to enjoy the new pace of shut down life. Though uncommon, we look back very fondly on this period of time and though full of challenges, we had each other. It was also during this year filled with very regular, very long walks with a stroller that we decided to add business owners to our resumes, and founded ASM, Aquatic Services of Maryland.
As life often turns in unexpecting ways we found out we'd be adding one more baby to our family, and welcomed Ashton in August 2021. We learned first hand that having two under two is not for the weak and also learned we needed more space. We found a new home to make new memories and moved in November of 2021. Life was full, we were a family of five, plus a pup, we were business owners, both also working full time regular jobs, all often with kids at home, thanks to school and daycare closures.
In March 2023 Chris proposed on St. Patrick's Day while we ate dinner at home with all the love and noise we'd come to expect. His Mom handed down the ring she and his Grandma Rowe wore. It needed to be redesigned and reset due to the many years of love and time on the original setting. As we told many family and friends our fun news, it was mostly met with, wait, I thought you guys were already married, which made it even more fun. Now in only a couple months, we will be and we're so excited!
We're looking forward to celebrating with our family and friends and then very much enjoying some "us" time on our honeymoon.
