Baltimore National Aquarium - State of the art aquarium located on the Inner Harbor. It's home to thousands of fish and an amazing Jelly Fish exhibit.
Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine - A little piece of Baltimore history and where the National Anthem was written. Enjoy a beautiful walking path or head inside for a guided tour.
Inner Harbor - Recommended for a daytime activity where you can see and tour historic ships, and a submarine. There are also paddle boats, shops, restaurants, bars and you can hop on a Water Taxi for a quick tour and transportation to other areas around the harbor.
Guinness Open Gate Brewery - Drink, Eat, and Tour! This brewery is what you'd expect from the one of the best brewers out there. At this location they craft experimental brews and have your classics as well. Once you've had your fill of both beer and delicious snacks you can also schedule a tour! As you can imagine this facility is large and though you can drop off it's still a considerable walk to the building.
Boordy Vineyards - Of course Maryland has wine and in fact this winery was recently acclaimed by the International Wine Review! Spend some time in the tasting barn, wander through the grape vines, and enjoy some perfect cheese pairings.
Sotta Sopra - Located downtown Baltimore in Mt. Vernon. This is one of our most favorite Italian restaurants. If you're looking for a romantic dinner, look no further!
Chinghaile - Located downtown, walking distance from the hotel, in Harbor East. This is also a fantastic Italian restaurant with French inspiration. If you need a recommendation we'd suggest the lasagna, but don't expect it to be traditional!
Jimmy's Famous Seafood - Crab, crab and more crab. This has become a must stop destination for famous folks, locals and out of towners. It's home to the "Tailgoat" and delicious food in a great atmosphere.
Pickles Pub - You've probably heard us talk about this place and you'll see why! It's the quintessential dive bar where everyone's your friend. They have delicious wings, the best orange crushes (a traditional Baltimore beverage), and of course fried pickles! It's located steps from Camden Yards, home to the Orioles, and just down the street from our old house.
LP Steamers - Your traditional crab shack and our favorite for crackin, a true local joint, but they'll still teach you the right way to crack a crab! Located downtown in Locust Point. Get your mallet and pickers ready!
Woodberry Kitchen - James Beard award winning Chef, Spike Gjerde's, take on local farm to table deliciousness! Beautiful and cozy atmosphere set in an old mill. After dinner enjoy some time by the fire outside. Located north of the city, about equal distance from both hotels.
Loch Bar - The perfect spot for a night cap if you're staying downtown and is home to one of the longest Whiskey and Bourbon menus you'll ever see. Sit inside, or choose our favorite, and sit outside where you can enjoy beautiful views of the harbor at night.
Annapolis, MD (25 miles) - Maryland's historic capital city, set on the Chesapeake Bay and home of the Naval Academy. Enjoy cobblestone streets, quaint shops, restaurants and bars with beautiful views of the marina. Some of our most favorite dates were in Annapolis!
Washington, DC (40 miles) - Our Nation's Capital and home to beautiful parks, gardens and National monuments. Two of our favorite places in DC are the Tidal Basin and Oyamel Cocina Mexicana.
Philadelphia, PA (80 miles) - The city of brotherly love! See the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and eat a Cheese Steak. No matter what anyone tells you, it's wit or wit-out and Pat's is the best!
Manhattan, NY (180 miles) - About a 2.5 hour drive will get you to Hoboken, NJ where you can park and take a quick Path train into the city. See everything NY has to offer! Our favorite memory is taking a pedicab through Central Park and seeing all of the Christmas decorations!
